In the summer of 2024, I got a chance to see the Pamukkale travertines of Türkiye. The bone-like structures and shapes that the flowing carbonate mineral left behind really inspired me. Upon my return to Istanbul, I was asked to give a cap workshop at Absolut’s Midsommar Festival. I wanted to do something a bit different, so, inspired by Pamukkale’s textures, I designed these detachable parts to add extra aura to the caps. The attendees were able to swap and place them wherever they wanted.
After that, I thought, why not take this idea and develop it? And I quickly asked my talented 3D sculptor friend Yiğit to start this collab project with me. And we came up with these cap series. The caps come with Velcro on 4 sides, which gives the customer the freedom to switch and swap designs and place them wherever they want
